Objectives: (1) To relieve the poverty of persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress as a result of local, national or international disaster or by reason of their social or economic circumstances. (2) To advance the education of and assist young persons in Scotland, especially but not exclusively through their leisure time activities, in order that they may develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities and grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society, and further more so that their conditions of life may be improved. (3) To promote the education of persons who through their social and economic circumstances are in need and are unemployed and in particular to support schemes where such persons may receive training (whether vocational or otherwise) to enable them to gain employment. (4) To benefit or further the purposes of such companies, institutions, foundations, bodies or trusts as the law regards as charitable and which have or include among their objects or purposes:- (a) the advancement of education and/or, (b) the relief of poverty, suffering, disease, sickness, infirmity, age, distress and the physically and mentally handicapped. All whether in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or elsewhere.
