We are set up to deliver a comprehensive annual series of skills building workshops in multimedia arts and crafts photography and IT skills within the East Central area of Glasgow . Our creative workshops and events are provided to local residents free of charge and are aimed at encouraging some of the most marginalised and isolated members of the community to improve their health and wellbeing and take better control of their lives through learning new skills while gaining the confidence and aspirations to play more active role within the community.
Objectives: (a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Cranhill and environs without distinction of religion, race, gender or politics, by associating the Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation, cultural and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. (b) To promote and establish links with cultural organisations with similar objects elsewhere. (c) To secure the establishment, maintenance and management of a Project Studio for activities promoted by the Project in furtherance of the above objects, or any of them.
