The Trust Fund is sub-divided into the traditional Rotary avenues of service and also Rotary’s own charity, The Rotary Foundation. A variety ofevents are organised throughout the year to raise monies for projects chosen annually by committees of Club members representing each fund.

The Trust Fund normally aims to donate most of the allocated funds raised (after deducting expenses which are kept to a minimum) by the end of each financial year. Unallocated funds are held separately and are available to support the other funds when necessary. The Community Fund received a donation of£1400 shortly before the year end which will be allocated in 2025/26. After the abandonment of the International project which the Club had committed to, funds have been carried forward to 2025/26.

For a number ofyears the major fundraiser has been the Community “Umbrella Walk”. The walk was instigated in 1998 and to date £390000 has now been raised for a wide range of local organisations. The Club organises, promotes and administers the walk with participating organisations raising sponsorships, the Club processing Gift Aid claims and allocating top ups from 6 local Charitable Trusts. This years walk had 32 participating organisations.
