We seek ways in which to improve the lives of older people in our community by prooviding information, contacts activities, transport and support. We organise a social information day each year which is held in our Village Hall. We arrange a Christmas Lunch for 200 in a local hotel. We work with the GP Service to provide hospital transport fo anyone unable to attend appoinments by themselves. We encourage gardening and provide materials for residents in our sheltered units. We organise activities such walking talks around our village and to local landmarks.

Objectives: 2. Objects The charitable objects for which the group is established are: a) To promote the welfare of older members of our community and cooperate with other groups in order to do so b) To consult with our community and consider their views and ideas regarding our priorities c) To identify and advertise activities which would support the quality of life of older people d) To organise services and events for the benefit of older people in our community e) To liaise with North Ayrshire Council, Age Scotland and other agencies in order to access support and advice for our work
