Re5pecrfve responsibllltles of the Trustees and the Independent Exomlner The charitvs Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the Accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment Iscotlandl Art 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Re8ulations 2(K16 las amended). The chariws Trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulatlon 10111 la} to Icl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the Accounts as requifed under Settion 44111 Icl of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attentlon. Ba$ oAlndependent Examlnerf5 report My examination is carried out in accordan with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Regulations 2006 las amended). An examinatlon includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the Accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or dlsclosures in the Accounts, and seeking explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the Accounts. Edmesh's Year Activities - 2021-22 Membershi Edmesh had 143 members as at March 21. You can join or renew your membership by retuming the renewal fomi included in the edmesh newsletter or by visiting the edmesh website and paying online. Edmesh and its ongoing running costs depend heavily on membership subscriptions. The commitlee would like to thank those who continue lo support edmesh by becoming members and those who have kindly senl in donations. During the year we continued to hold our monthly Café Meetings by Zoom until restrictions eased and we wer8 all¢)wed to start m*ting in person and members felt comfortable to do so. Due to the timing of this and the required planning we have not set up any social meetings during the year. As a result it was agreed by the committee that we would wave the annual subscriptions for the year. Those received by automatic direct Payment were advised and asked if they wished the payment retumed or applied as a donalion. We also resolved the access to the Paypal aGwunt and transferred the reGeived funds to the edmash ¢urrent account. Committee Members. All our committee mernbers are dedicated and knowledgeable In managing edmesh, and contribute hugely to sustaining edmesh. On 20 January 2022 we held our second online AGM. Edmesh is fortunate that the following committee members agreed to stand for eledion once again in various role. We have advertised extensively throughout the year to recruit new committee members both int8mally and through various charity volunteering sit8$ but without success. n Meetin Cancelled in 2021122 Newsletter Edmesh produces four newsletters each year that are now available by e-mail on request. Contributions for the newsletter are always welcome and actively encouraged as we want to share articles and information amongst our membership community. Facebook EdMh is thankful for the team of volunteers who manage the edmesh Facebook page. We thank Neil Cameron, John Grant, Carolyn Mccubbing, Angela McDonald, Sally MacLean and Jacqui du Rocher. Facebook members. numbers have risen to 619 members.
