Food remained the biggest sale Tlem. Tho sharing larder conbnugs to be usod by tho mor8 vuln•r8ble members ol the community 8nd thè Paronl and Toddler group confjnuos to be very popular. We werè SUC(5ful in applying for a grant froffl.. the EDFIFoundalion Scotland Corri8moille wind fami fund whlch supported tho Strathpeffer Science Falr held at the communty centro. The trust as a conduit for the HCES Alll Dearg Hydro S¢h6me. These funds amounted to £2,245 In the financial year. 50Vo of the grant is automalically passed on lo the Contin CC under the temis of th& grant. In totsl, we have recorded a deficit of £8,019 this year which includes an allowance for depreciation of £4,71 T. When the depreciatitsn figure is strfpped out, we ¢an see an overall reduction in OUT cash balance of £3,302. 11 is worth noting that during this financial year we patd yèars. woth of electricity charges Ic.£5,000 per yearl. This was due to the late re(*ipt of an invoice for the prewous year. An assessment of thg relative perfomiance of each of the community ntre and the shop is gThi8n in the explanatory notes on page 24. The Board rernains vtJr ilant to the challenging CUTrent environment in which the Centre oper8tey, in common with other Community Halls, and continues to emphasise the need to increase revenue from commercial use while balancing the availability and cost to community groups.
