Objectives: The Fundamental Object of the Trust shall be to hold the Trust Fund in perpetuity as a fund for the advancement of education at the Scottish College of Textiles, Calashiels by the implementation of the Trust Purposes hereinafter specified. The Trustees shall annually apply the free residue of the income of the Trust Fund remaining after payment of the expenses of administration, repair and maintenance as hereinbefore provided for the following purposes videlicet:- (a) To award medals or other prizes or awards to students of the College who in the opinion of the Governors have attained distinction in any subject or group of subjects. (b) To give assistance to students or members of the teaching staff of the College to enable them to participate in courses of training or tour industrial establishments or exhibitions or visits to Teaching Institutions for the purpose of enlarging their experience and knowledge, and (c) To assist in the promotion of any scientific or technical research at the College.
