INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF NORTHERN IRELAND CHILDRENS KIDNEY FUND I report on the accounts of the Fund for the year ended 31 March 2025 which are set out on pages 3 to 6. RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRUSTEES AND THE EXAMINER The Fund's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts, The Fund's Trustees conslderthat an audit is not required for this year under section 144121 of the Charlties, Act 2011 {the 2011 Act) and that an Independent examination is needed. It is my responslblllty to: Examlne the accounts undersection 145 of the 2011 Act To follow the procedures laid down in the general dlrections given by the Charity Commission under section 14515){bl of the 2011 Act," and To state whether particular matters have come to my attention BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT My examination was carrled out in accordance with the general directions glven by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Fund and comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you a5 Trustees concerning such matters. The procedure5 undertaken do not provide all the evldence that would be required in an audlt and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a'true and falrviev¥ and the report is limited to those matters set out In the statement below. INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention: (i) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any materlal respect the requirements: to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act have not been met; or (2) to which, in my opinlon, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the applicable accounting Standards, the Statement of Recornmended Practice "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" issued in March 2005 and the Charities Act 1993. Incoming Resources Donations, legacies and other forms of voluntary income are recognised as incomlng resources when receivable. except insofar as they are incapable of financial measurement. Resources Expended Resour5 expended are recognised in the period in which they are incurred. Accumulated Funds The charity has one fund for which it is responslble as follows: Un$trItted funds Funds which are expendable at the discretion of the charity in the furtherance of its objectives. In addiiion funds may be held in order to finan capital investment and working capital.
