Independent examiner's report to the charity trustees of Bonds Street Community Association I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30 September 2024, which are set out on pages I to 4. Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's report I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters. My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe: l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act 2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records 3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act 4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters (l) to (4) listed above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, I have found no matters that require drawing to your attention. Trustees Annual Report for the year ended 30 September 2024 The Trustees of Bonds Street Community Association are pleased to present their report for the year ended 30 September 2024. Purposes of the Charity The Association is established for the advancement of education and the relief of poverty, sickness and the aged to promote the benefit of families in the Bonds Street area of the County of Londonderry {hereinafter described as 'the area of benefit,) and for the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for families who have need of such facilities by reason of their social and economic circumstances in order that their conditions of life might be improved. Main Activities to further the Charity"s purposes for the public benefit The main activities of the Charity are the organisation and facilitating of trips and events for the residents of the area of benefit in order to provide enjoyment, education and to help build relationships with neighbouring communities. Main Achievements in the year We have been lucky enough to source funding over the past year from the ARN Project which has allowed us to organise various trips and events. These include a trip to Portrush, two 6 week Arts and Crafts courses, 8 week gardening workshop, a 6 week IT skills course leach participant received a free 7" android tablet), an Older People Programme leach participant received a keep warm pack and electric blanket) and finally an 8 week Cooking on a Budget course {each participant received an air fryer). We are still working on a cross community basis with the Rathmore Centre and meet up on a regular basis. We have taken part in various courses with them ie. arts and crafts, history and immigration. We have also joined them on an overnight stay to Letterkenny and enjoyed a living history tour of the area. The canon project on Clooney Terrace is now complete and everyone is enjoying the shared space which has been created. Public Benefit Statement The Trustees of Bonds Street Community Association confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 (51 of the Charities Act 2011 to have regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit and that the public benefit requirement has informed the activitie5 Of the Society in the year to 30 September2024. Review of Financial position as at 30 September 2024 The Charity had excess payments over receipts for the year to 30 September 2024 of £10,442 {2023: surplus £7,972).

As at 30 September 2024 the Charity had no funds in material deficit The Charity was formed on 26 July 2004, and is governed by its Constitution dated at that time. No funds are held by the charity as a custodian trustee Trustee Selection and Management The Charity is managed by an Executive Committee which consists of all the appointed trustees, and the selection of any new Trustees is dealt with by that Committee.
