2. Objects 2.1 The Association is established for the advancement of education and the relief of poverty, sickness and the aged to promote the benefit of families in the Bonds Street area of the County of Londonderry (hereinafter described as ‘the area of benefit’) and for the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for families who have need of such facilities by reason of their social and economic circumstances in order that their conditions of life might be improved. 2.2 To establish or to secure the establishment of a Community Centre (‘hereinafter called ‘the centre’) and to maintain and manage, and cooperate with any local statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a Centre for activities promoted by the Association and its constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objects.
