TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT for Enniskillen ComicFest for the year ended 31 St July 2023 The trustees present their TTUStees' Annual Report prepared in accordance with Charities SORP (effective January 2015) and the independently examined statements for the year ended 31 St July 2023 Structure, Governance and Management Enniskillen ComicFest is govemed by its Constitution that was adopted on 1 sl September 2020. The trustees at the date of this report and those who served during the financial year together with the dates of any changes are set out are listed below. Publlc address 18 Killyrfilly Heights Enniskillen Co Fennanagh BTT4 4DT Objectives and Activities Objectives The objectives of Enniskillen ComicFest are to advance the education of the public in the arts and culture of comic book literatu re and associated fields of ar( design, technology, phi1050phy and literature, partiGularly, but not exclusively by: a) the organization of a comic book convention based in County Fermanagh; b) the encouragement of active participation by all ages and communities in the medium of comic book literature and other niche related hobbies and interests c)such other ways as the committee shall decide from time to time. Key Activitles in this Year A worf(shop on creating comics was run in a local Primary School for P7 children on May. ComicFest itself was Ihen run on 2nd and 3rd June. For the first time it was run as a two day event rather that a single day. This proved very popular and increased the attendance but costs were also increased by more that what we

had anticipated. Overall the Iwo day show was judges to have been a su￿sS and well be discussed atthe next AGM Enniskillen ComicFest Trustees have considered Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's general guidance on public benefit when ￿VIewIng our objectives and in planning ourfuture activilies to ensu re that these ach ieve the association's pu rposes and provide a benefit to beneficiaries. Financial Review Review of Business Enniskillen ComicFest is non-profit making with net income and resources in this year of zero. Funds held over from our 2020 event, cancelled because of the Covid outbreak, were available to cover most of the additional costs. Fundraising opportunities to rebuild the Reserve haven't been been as plents.ful post- Covid and with the cost of living crisis affecting so much now. Other avenues to increase fundraising will have to be explored. The trustees continue to manage resources in an efficient and sustsinable man ner. Reserves Policy Enniskillen ComicFest has a Reserves Policy, which requires that reserrfes are built or maintained at a level which ensu res that the organisations core activities could continue during a period of unforeseen difficulty and that the organisations known liabilities will be paid should the organisation cease to trade. Future Plans Enniskillen ComicFest plans to continue to focus on controlling costs, while maintaining the high standards of service to our beneficiaries and running a top quality comic book convention. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES forthe yearended 31st July 2023 The Trustees a￿ responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure thatthe financial ststements comply with all appropriate regulations.
