Objectives and Activities
Objectives
The objectives of Enniskillen ComicFest are to advance the education of the
public in the arts and culture of comic book literatu re and associated fields of
ar( design, technology, phi1050phy and literature, partiGularly, but not
exclusively by:
a) the organization of a comic book convention based in County Fermanagh;
b) the encouragement of active participation by all ages and communities in
the medium of comic book literature and other niche related hobbies and
interests
c)such other ways as the committee shall decide from time to time.
Key Activitles in this Year
A worf(shop on creating comics was run in a local Primary School for P7
children on May.
ComicFest itself was Ihen run on 2nd and 3rd June. For the first time it was run
as a two day event rather that a single day. This proved very popular and
increased the attendance but costs were also increased by more that what we

had anticipated. Overall the Iwo day show was judges to have been a
su￿sS and well be discussed atthe next AGM
Enniskillen ComicFest Trustees have considered Charity Commission for
Northem Ireland's general guidance on public benefit when ￿VIewIng our
objectives and in planning ourfuture activilies to ensu re that these ach ieve
the association's pu rposes and provide a benefit to beneficiaries.
Financial Review
Review of Business
Enniskillen ComicFest is non-profit making with net income and resources in
this year of zero. Funds held over from our 2020 event, cancelled because of
the Covid outbreak, were available to cover most of the additional costs.
Fundraising opportunities to rebuild the Reserve haven't been been as
plents.ful post- Covid and with the cost of living crisis affecting so much now.
Other avenues to increase fundraising will have to be explored. The trustees
continue to manage resources in an efficient and sustsinable man ner.
Reserves Policy
Enniskillen ComicFest has a Reserves Policy, which requires that reserrfes
are built or maintained at a level which ensu res that the organisations core
activities could continue during a period of unforeseen difficulty and that the
organisations known liabilities will be paid should the organisation cease to
trade.
Future Plans
Enniskillen ComicFest plans to continue to focus on controlling costs, while
maintaining the high standards of service to our beneficiaries and running a
top quality comic book convention.
