In fulfilling the public benefit requirement, the charity trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's statutory public benefit guidan. The purpose of this char5ty contlnue to be The purpose of Glendarragh Quitters, Guild is to provide an organisation that encourages its members to promote the craft of quilting for the public benefit by offering inspiration through regular meeting, workshops and demonstrations. The information below sets out the activities we have carried out to further our purposes and fulfil the public benefit elements during the last 12 months. Activities Due to the COVID pandemic and considering the age profile of the majority or our members the group remained inactive throughout most of the financial year. No meetings took place until late April 2022. In order to mee the public benefit requirement some quilters continued working with the aid of zoom lessons while others used YouTube and other online resources. We were able to share and discuss our work via our WhatsApp group. One member provided packs for a felting workshop which took place over two 3 hour sessions fa to fa. Numbers were low as Spa was limited. The trustees may decide to seek new premises for activities in the coming year. This will provide more Spa and allow our group to expand. Our activities do not lead to any harm. The only private benefit from our purposes is that a trustee or family member may participate in the same manner as all other beneficiaries. this is purely incidental and neSSary so that the benefit is available to all inhabitants of the area.
Finances In the financial year we collected fees of £300 and paid rent for the last temi, which along with other expenses, gave a totsl expenditure of £344. We had some money in our bank account to withstand this small loss. We have no assets or liabititses The Chaiity's finances are in surplus and accounts are prepared to comply with the requirements of the Charity Commission for N Ireland.
