Objectives and Activitles The charitable purpose of The Cabragh School and Mccreight Endowment is to carry on the original purpose of the Endowment made by Andrew Mccreight in 1821 to provide Christian religious education to the children and youth of the local area. This is achieved by providing financial assistance to three local schools and two local Parish churches, out of income from investment of the sale proceeds from the old school. Achievements and Performance During the year to 31 December 2024 income from the Mccreight Endowment was used by the schools to assist in promoting the Christian ethos. It allowed the renewal of assembly resources, the purchase of Bibles together with scripts and music for Christmas nativity productions. It allowed Christian organisations to be invited into the schools to support their religious education curriculum. One of the schools used the Lifeguards programme centred around protecting your heart by loving and serving God through health and fitness. The two churches, through their Sunday School and youth organisations, benefited from an increased budget. The youth organisations were able to purchase PE equipment, assist with badge work etc which helped with team building for the youth and leaders. Sunday School received help for outings and the purchase of new craft resources and teaching aids for lessons.
