by a Constitution dated 6 February 2020.
The trustees who served during the year and up to the date of signing the financial
statements were:
Rev C Darling

The Rectors of the two Parishes of Ballymore and Mullabrack are automatically appointed
trustees for the time being upon taking up the ministry in the Parish. This continues until
their ministry in the Parish ceases at which time their trusteeship also terminates.
The two remaining trustees are appointed for an indefinite term and serve until they no
longer wish to, at which point they may resign.
The day to day running of the charity is undertaken by the trustees. The trustees do not
receive remuneration from the charity.
Objectives and Activitles
The charitable purpose of The Cabragh School and Mccreight Endowment is to carry on the
original purpose of the Endowment made by Andrew Mccreight in 1821 to provide Christian
religious education to the children and youth of the local area. This is achieved by providing
financial assistance to three local schools and two local Parish churches, out of income from
investment of the sale proceeds from the old school.
Achievements and Performance
During the year to 31 December 2024 income from the Mccreight Endowment was used by
the schools to assist in promoting the Christian ethos. It allowed the renewal of assembly
resources, the purchase of Bibles together with scripts and music for Christmas nativity
productions. It allowed Christian organisations to be invited into the schools to support their
religious education curriculum.
One of the schools used the Lifeguards programme centred around protecting your heart by
loving and serving God through health and fitness.
The two churches, through their Sunday School and youth organisations, benefited from an
increased budget. The youth organisations were able to purchase PE equipment, assist with
badge work etc which helped with team building for the youth and leaders. Sunday School
received help for outings and the purchase of new craft resources and teaching aids for
lessons.

Charities Commissioner of Northern Ireland - Statement of Compliance
The Cabragh School and Mccreight Endowment has given careful consideration to the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the
activities entered into during the year have helped to achieve the charity's objectives and
activities, as well as providing public benefit.
The benefit is defined as..
'Flowing from Christian education to children and youth are the adoption of a moral
framework which encourages children and young people to play an active and positive part
in society, a charitable outlook and the welfare of others, as a result of Christian teaching.
Financial Review
The accounts show a surplus of £195 for the year, all of which was restricted in nature.
At the balance sheet date, restricted reserves amounted to £127,132 of which all is held at
bank and investment. The trustees have a minimum level of reserves of £110,000 to be held
by the charity due to the need to maintain the original investment and to allow income to be
generated to provide ongoing funding for religious education.
Going Concern
The trustees have reviewed the position of the charity and are of the opinion that the charity
will continue in its activities and the accounts should be prepared on a going concern basis.
Statement of Trustees, Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report, the Statement of Receipts
and Payments and the Statement of Assets and Liabilities in accordance with applicable law
and regulations.
The law applicable to those charities in Northern Ireland with income of less than £250,000
requires the trustees to prepare a Statement of Receipts and Payments and a Statement of
Assets and Liabilities for each financial year.
