This has been hlghly succe8slul wllh weekly sessions Ih around 40 children allending each week aged from 5-8 years old. The club has recruited 5 volunt88rs lo run tho camps and Initiated parent-tO-coaGh workshops which have resulted in some local pants getting involv8d in the Sesslons, these Involved theoretlcal and praGlical trainlng which equippad the parents wilh the experience to help run and eventually take over thg sessions. We also supported the Glub in running a weeklong Cul Camp in Augusl 2022, whlch was attended by 50+ chlldren. Health: Market Health Action Group: The Markel Health AlDn Group w&8 established at the 8nd of 2022, wllh monthly meeting5 taking p18ce from then on, resulting in a steady momentum of programs and research devgloping. The Actlon Group Is made up of 7 Market residents, 2 MDA staff members and 6 Queens slaff. The firsl steps taken were to create a Health plan whlch has resulled In 6 fundamental areas of focus. Substanco Us6 EdU10n program: The Action Group has moved Carefully through 2 separate -creatIOn sessions MAlh 35 resldents. Tha goal Is to dèvalop a programme that enhances th8 communlly's understandlng of the i88ue, learn ways to addre8s them. and then de8lgn solutlons thal flt the Market community and residents, own rSon circumstances. Residents were invited to book a slot and benefft from free advic* and treatmenl from experts. We off8red raflexology, physlotherapy, massage, and aromalherapy. This involved 10 residents getting treatment every Monday, the project allowed for 90 dlfferenl resldents to benefit from the treatments during Ihe reporting period. The project was funded through the Houslng Executlve and Urt)an Vlllages as a trial run which will hopefully lead to more bein9 offered as part of a wid6r health Inllialiv6 In 2023. The Markel Is one of the most deprived communities in Belfast, featuring in th8 top 10% of the various NISRA Multiple Deprlvatlon Measures, Many of Ihese Inequallties are rooted in the structural marginali881ion of the area through urban developmenl pradices over the last 50 years. The CTI Wds deslgned through reflection on both the community's historical experIen and the day-to-day reflecllon of communSty development practitioners on tyin9 to link the syslemlc cha118nges th8 communlty facos wlth the daily challenges experIend by residents. The CTI has three broad slrands.. 1. Organlslng & Engagomènt 2. EdUCaOn & Skills 3. Economlc Development & Employablllty Training. of 18. These wer6 funded by the MDA and our partners In QCAP at Quegns Unlversity. This cost £4.833.10 and was a
