Treasurers Report: Summary of PTA’s Actions
During the school year 2023-24 we raised funds both alongside the school and independently within the school.
Endeavours alongside the school include providing tea/coffee at the school Harvest, Christmas service and Prize Day brought in £90.86 after costs of £14.94 for milk/biscuits. Donated school uniforms were offered to parents to buy and this raised £2.00
£500 was raised in February at the community Craft Fair he’d in the school assembly hall.
A Christmas disco brought in £184.56 after costs, a Fireside Quiz raised £150.90 after costs and an Easter Competition raised £155.66
Our annual Fun Night in June raised £1138.86 aftercosts of £847.59, this included the sum of £45 which was donated towards PTA funds.
Bank fees charged for the year totalled £41.40 and the annual fee for Parentkind subscription £140. Total amount charged in fees was £181.40
In total our fundraising (after costs) resulted in £1526.91 during the school year, 2023-24.
Our donations during the year included:
Ice-cream van arrived on Sports Day and each child got an ice-cream courtesy of the PTA. Also, each teacher had a fund from which they could purchase items for their class instead of dipping into their own pocket. This supplied food for an Egyptian Day feast, an external CD/DVD player, Sing Christmas Book and CD and play resources for Foundation Stage.

Maintaining a presence in school events such as Harvest, School Open Day, Christmas and Prize Day and holding our own events keeps the PTA in the public eye. This results in people seeing that we are active and working to help give in positive ways.
The highlight of the school year is the Fun Night in June that culminates a years worth of effort from students, staff, parents and PTA members alike. We also find that smaller events are ‘expected’ by parents, such as the provision of tea/coffee at school events, yearly fireside quiz or the ice-cream on Sports Day.
