SFR has therefore established a policy whereby part of the unrestrlcted funds should not be Invested in flxed assets and be available for general use. SFR Tru8te8s have determined that reserves of £20,000 8re needed to meet the fundlng requirements of the charity In the light of the main rlsks to the organisation. The Trustees are confident that at this level of Reserves, they would be able to continue the current activities of the charity in the event of 2 signlficant drop in funding until alternatlve funding resources are found. Thls Reserve will idealty represent 10 months of expenditure. Any call upon the use of th8 reserves wlll be at the approval of the SFR Trustees who wrll examlne the rationale for doing so and agree an amount where appropriate. The balance on unrestricted reserves at 31 December 2023 is £12,713 after dedudon of the amount set aside undar this pollcy.
