Re8ervè8 Pollcy
The Trustees of Sunshine Foundatlon Romania Trust (SFR), in common with most charlties, have
examlned the Gharity'8 requlrements for reserves in light of the main risks to the Charity. SFR has
therefore established a policy whereby part of the unrestrlcted funds should not be Invested in flxed
assets and be available for general use.
SFR Tru8te8s have determined that reserves of £20,000 8re needed to meet the fundlng requirements
of the charity In the light of the main rlsks to the organisation. The Trustees are confident that at this
level of Reserves, they would be able to continue the current activities of the charity in the event of 2
signlficant drop in funding until alternatlve funding resources are found. Thls Reserve will idealty
represent 10 months of expenditure.
Any call upon the use of th8 reserves wlll be at the approval of the SFR Trustees who wrll examlne the
rationale for doing so and agree an amount where appropriate. The balance on unrestricted reserves
at 31 December 2023 is £12,713 after dedudon of the amount set aside undar this pollcy.

I have examined the accounts for the tlnanclal year to 31 December 2023 as set out on the attached three
pages, on the basis explained below.

The trustees are responslble for preparing the charlty's accounts, and they consider that.,
they are entitled to adopt the recelpts and payments basls for the financlal year as provlded by section
6413) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland> 2008 (the Act>," and
the audit requirement of sectlon 85{2) of the Act does not apply but the alt8rnatlve requlrement of
independent examinatlon under section 6513)(a) does apply
It Is my responsibility to 8tate, on the basis of the procedures outlined below, whether certain matters have
come to my attent￿n in Gonnection w&th the independent examination.

My examination of the account5 was carrled out in accordance wlth Regulatlon 25 of the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulakn'ons (Northern Ireland) 2015. An independent examlnation includes a
review of the accountlng records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts pre88nted wllh
those records. It also indudes conslderalion of any unusual or especlally slgnificant transactlons or events
and their disclosure In the accounts, and seeking any further informatlon or explanations I consldered
necessary concerning any such matters. The procedures required to be carried out do not provid8 all the
evldence that would be ￿qUired in an audlt, and consequently my report does not expres5 any audit
opinion on the vlew glven by the accounts.
