Under the congregation's governlng document, The Code, the book of the constltution and government of the Presbyterlan Church In Ireland, the Kirk Se5slon seeks to watch over and promote the spiritual interest of the congregation and of persons not connected with any con8re8atlon who are wlthln Its bounds, It ensures pastoral care Is In place In the con8regatlon and seeks to further the contribution of the Church to Chrlstian wltness and service In the local community. The Klrk Sesslon ha5 delegated to its Congregational Committee the temporal affalr5 of the congregation Includlng admlnistering all funds and property belonging to the congregation. Members of the Kirk Sesslon are ex-officio members of the Congregatlonal Committee. The Klrk Sesslon conslsts of the ordained minister and the ruling elders of the congregatlon5. All members are entltled to propose, speak and exerclse equal votes at meetlngs, The Moderator, the minister in actlve duty In the congregatlon, has no dellberatlve but only castlng vote. Stated meetings of the Kirk session are held eight times per year. To be chosen for the office of the eldership in the congregation a person must be a votlng member and a regular attendant on Its ordinances. The selection of those proposed to be called to the office can be elther by the con8regation or by the Kirk Session. Members are elected If they obtaln two-thlrds of those who vote. Presbytery Under the Presbyterian Church In Ireland form of governance the corporate oversight of a congregation is the responsibility of a Presbytery which superintends generally the spiritual and temporal affairs of the congregations assigned to it by the General Assembly of the Presbyterlan Church In Ireland. Kilmore Congregation of the Presbyterian Church has been assigned to the Down Presbytery of the Presbyterlan Church In Ireland. The membership of the Presbytery consists mainly of the actlve mlnisters of congregations assigned to it by the General Assemblyi minster5 who have retired from active duty and an elder appointed by the Kirk Session of the congregation.

The Sacrament of the Lords Supper is observed four tlmes during the year and all those who have been baptised and who have made a professlon of falth in the Lord Jesus Christ are admitted to the Lord's Supper. The congregatlon holds regular bible study meetings and has a wide range of organisations including Sunday School (JAM) & Youth Bible Class (CYI 2 Youth Clubs (JAM Plus & CY Plus) Presbyterlan Women Bowlln8 Club CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) Senior Members Lunch Church Choir and Praise Band Mldweel< Fellowship for Prayer and Blble Study Annual Bible Club for children and young people ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Worshlp and prayer The congregation normally meets for worship each Sunday at 11.30am and has a monthly evening servlce at 7pm from September through to May. The Mldweek Fellowshlp (on Wednesday evenlngsl provldes an opportunlty for members to meet together for fellowship, to study the scrlptures and for a time of prayer. As well as our regular servlces durlng the year we sought to comfort those who had been bereaved durlng the year through funeral services. At 31 December 2022 there were 143 communlcant members and 111 famllles connected wlth the congregatlon. The avera8e weekly attendance at mornln8 worshlp was 78 and 58 for evenlng worship. We continue to offer on-line and CD recordlngs of the servlces. Pastoral care Member5 of the congregation who were unable to attend church due to slcl<ness or age were visited on a regular basis by,the minister or elder5,

We also are part of the Kilmore Community and share in the Annual Christmas Carol service. The congregation supports the United Appeal for Mlsslon whlch Is a central fund of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. This fund enables congregatlons to support the wider misslon of the denomlnation and to do mlssion and outreach on a denominatlonal basls beyond what the con8regatlon could do on Its own. The United Appeal Fund provides financial support for misslon personnel at home and overseas, assists congregatlons wlth the deployment of locally based staff, enables church planting, provide5 grant support for the upkeep of church premlses, asslst wlth the running costs of Union Theological College, the Church's trainlng college for ministry students, and financially supports congregation in the areas of worship, disclpleship, global mission, outreach, leadership and pastoral care. The con8regation also contribute5 to the denomlnation5 annual World Development Appeal at Chrlstmas and any other speclal appeal5. Presbyterv The congregatlon was represented at the regular meetings of Presbytery by our mlnlster and one of the elders. This provides an important link between the congregatlons and the wider structures of the church. General Assembly The mlnlster and one of our elders were nominated to attend the meetlng of the General Assembly of the Presbyterlan Church In Ireland held In Assembly Buildings, Belfast, In June,

Sunday School & Youth Bible Class Each Sunday our Sunday School called JAM meet during the worship service. There was an average attendance of 6-8 children between the ages of 5 and 11. It is staffed by volunteer helpers on a rota basis. CY- Church Youth {Bible Cla551 had average attendance of 6 and again is staffed by volunteer helpers. 2 Youth Clubs These groups meet monthly from September to April. Younger group is for School Year5 1-6; the older group Year5 7-12. Atlme for fun, games, food, craft and bible lesson. It is open to all young folk in the communlty. Average attendance is 8 forthe younger group and 9 forthe older group. It Is organi5ed by a group of volunteer5 from the church. Presbyterlan Women Thls Is for women of all ages In the congregatlon, The organlsation alms to provlde an opportunity for women to have fellowship wlth one another and to seek to win women for Jesus Christ. It also aims to encourage Chrlstlan dlsclpleshlp and to foster support for local and global mission. The group usually meets monthly from September to April and has an average attendance of 15. There Is an annual meetlng of all PW groups held in Assembly Buildlngs In Belfast. The ladies attended an event organlsed by the Presbytery ('PW LINK and commlttee,) held In the Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahlnch, An outing was arranged for he Ark, Chrlstmas Fayre in St Anne's Cathedral Belfast. Bowling Club The Bowllng Club meets weekly from September to April. Its membership Is made up of Church member5 and other5 in the communlty. Its alm Is to provide recreational sport and has Inter club matches with other local church groups. The average attendance is 18. CAMEO (Come And Meet Each Other) Senior Members Lunch. This group meets September to April on the first Wednesday of each month for a Three course lunch of Soup, Dessert and Tea/Coffee. It is an opportunity for older members and their friends to meet for food, conversation and a short epllogue. It is supported by our own congregation and others from the neighbourhood. Average attendance is 16.

The Church choir membership of 15 normally leads worship once a month and provides special muslc for the main Christian Festivals e.g. Harvest, Christmas, Easter. The Praise Band lead our Services regularly when we use more contemporary praise. Made up of all age groups with membership of 7. Mldweek Fellowship for Prayer and Bible Study- This group meets from September to Easter. An average of 20 people met for in-depth Blble Study and a tlme prayer. Praylng for world Issues, communlty and Church family concern5. Annual Bible Club for children and young people was organlsed In June when young people from the congregation and the community attended. Soclal Committee organised an outlng to Let's Go Hydro for the young people of the con8re8ation. A Family Film night was held in January. Volunteers The Trustees wlsh to acknowledge their deep appreclatlon of those who gave freely of their time by serving on commlttee5 and helping with organisations and other church activities,

The direct benefits which flow from the purposes of the Church include the gaining of an understanding in Christian bellefs a5 set out in the Bible and In the Church's subordinate Standards {the Westminster Confession of Falth and the Shorter and Larger Catechlsms) leading to splrltual and moral development and opportunities for response to Blble teaching. In turn, thls framework leads to prattical expressions of Christian bellefs and standards in the local communlty such as through the care of those In need (Includingthe sick, disabled and bereaved). Generally the above beneflts are delivered locally by congregations and their members, or are facilitated through pre5byterle5 or are organised and delivered centrally. Local delivery Is facilltated by central resources In almost all cases. Publlc access Is made known through the use of notlceboards, prlnted materlal, press advertisement, websites, and soclal media or In other ways. The beneflts are demonstrated through regular evaluatlon of the services and Informal and ad-hoc feedback from members, their families, and members of the publlc. The purpose does not lead to harm. The only private benefit flowing from our purpose is related to Minlsters, Missionarles, Deaconesses, Irlsh Mlsslon workers and Lay Agents who receive beneflts as a result of thelr holding offlce or employment. However, this Is incidental and necessary In order to further our charltable purpose. There are no other private beneflts. The beneflclarles of thls purpose are members, thelr famllles, other Indlvlduals that the Presbyterian Church in Ireland is in direct and indirect contact with, the communlty in whlch pastoral Services are provided and other coniinunitie5 throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and worldwlde whlch benefit from our engagement with and support for both Christian and other secular or8ani5ations, charities and individual members of the publlc. The Kirk Session has had regard to the Charlty Commissions Public beneflt requirement statutory guidance.

There were 112 contributors durlng the year [103 in year 2021] donating total of £47,957 (£45,514 in year 2021) Total Income of the congregatlon during the year was £104,242, compared to £90,435 in the year 2021. Total expenditure for 2022 was £108,556 and £74,230 for 2021. STATEMENT OF TRUSTEE RESPONSIBILITIES The Trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report'a'nd the financlal statements of the congregatlon in accordance with applicable law and generally accepted accounting practlce. As the congregatlon's total income does not exceed £250,000, the Trustees have elected under Section 64{31 of the Charltles Act (Northern Ireland) 208 to prepare a.recelpts gnd payment account and a statement of assets and liabilities. The Trustees are responslble for keeping adequate accountlng records that are sufficient to show and explain the congregatlon's transactions and dlsclose with reasonable accuracy at any tlme its financlal posltlon. They are also responsible for safeguardlng the assets of the congregatlon and hence for taklng reasonable steps for the prevention and detectlon of fraud and other Irregularltles.
