The financial statements have been prepared on a 'Receipts and Payments, basis and the Trustees have had regard to the Nl Charity Commission's Public Benefit Guidance. Our Purposes To advance the prevention or relief of poverty in the UK, Ireland and Internationally. To advance the relief of those in need by reason of age, youth, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in I reland, UK and particularly Internationally but not limited to emergency or overseas aidlrelief. To advance the education of people in the UK, Ireland and Internationally through projects and educational programmes. To advance such other charitable purposes as permitted by the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008- Part I, Section 2 Constltution The charity Is formally established under a Trust Deed dated 5th September 1989. Main Activities and Achievements During the year, club members and associated organisations raised a total of £9.730 from a variety of events and sources, including £1.325 from members, and our Friends of Rotary donations, £1,515 Nepal Project event. £1,770 Turkey/Syria Earthquake appeal. £2,306 Caro5 Singing, £395 GlobalGiving receipts, £1,240 Annual Programmes Fund. The remaining funds derived from various donations, ballots, and investments.

Respectlve responsibilitie5 of charity trustees and examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act {Northern Ireland) 2008. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charitie5 Act follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given bythe Commission under section 65(91(bl of the Charities Act state whether particular matter5 have come to myattention. Basis of independent examinerfs report I have examined your charity accounts as requlred under sertion 65 of the Charities Act and my examination wa5 carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland u nder section 65(9){b) of the Charities Act. My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters. My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe: l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charitie5 Act 2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records 3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements ofthe Charities Act 4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Accounting policies The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with the charity'5 financial statements. Basis of accounting Section 133 of the Charities Act 2011 permits a charity to prepare a receipts and payments account and a statement of assets and liabilities where gross income in the financial year doe5 not exceed £250,000, therefore receipts and payments accounts and a statement of liabilities has been prepared and presented forthe year ended 30 June 2023. All income, including grants and investment income is recorded when received. All expenditure is recorded when paid. Gift aid reclairnable on donations is included in the amounts of income once received. Basis of valuation Investments are held at market value. Expenses No expenses were paid to any of the trustees during the year except to reimburse them for purchases made on behalf of the charity. Trustees, Indemnity Insurance No charitable funds have been used to purchase insurance to indemnify the Trustees against consequences of any neglect or default on their part. Fund Accounting General fund5 are unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity and which have not been designated for other purposes, Designated funds comprise unrestricted funds that have been set aside by the Trustees for particular purposes. General funds may be transferred to designate funds where trustees wish to use these funds for specific purpose. Such funds may be transferred backto general funds once the criteria forthe designation have been met or are no longer applicable.
