A new development is that on one day ¢acb w￿k senior pupils from Speffinview School attend the wallcd gard¢n where they receive imstrnction and practical cxp¢ri¢oo¢ ill cvery aspect of caring for plant8. This is valued by thc pupils and staff of Sperrlnview. Development ofbuildings Throughout 2023-2024 we have continued to work on the need to preserve and develop our listed buildings, whioh are an important part of the built heritage of liorth¢rn Ir¢land. W¢ hav¢ consult widely Oll the possibilities of bringing back into use outbuildings which are eurrently derelict. At the end of the 2023-2024 year we have secured grants to allow us to undertake a Phase 2 viabdity study in thc next fmancial year. This is an important step in our plans to bring these buildings back into us¢ to meet the Identifi￿ needs of thos¢ with disabilities and will culrninate in the production of detailed plans for our proposed development. We are grateful for the ¢xpertise and work of Stephen Mathews in his capacity as Business Consultant to the Trust. All our work bellefits from tbe involvement and support of th¢ locat community. This includes Ca8tlecaulfield HorticUlt￿[al Socicty. Spealwell who are our neIg1￿)urS on site, J(Kal politicians and local residents who use the forest park for rccrcation and are very supp)rtive of our work.
