Actlvltle&' Oungannon Dlstrlrt Masonic Charity Commlttee oversees and ctrordlnate5 the raising of funds for several charltable purposes by fourteen Masonlc Lodges which are all represented on the Commlttee. Funds are ralsed by the Indlvldual lodges by voluntary 8lvin& donètlons and fvnd ralslng. These funds are then channelled through the committee, where If posslble. Teddies for Loving Care- we were able to asslst with the provision of Teddy bears to Emergency departments in Enniskillen and Omagh Hospitals. By contributing £5(M).00 to the Harold Mc Master Memorial Fund whith exists to provide bursaries to rnature students wishing to further thelr education. By contributing £21XI.00 to the Grand Masterfs Ukraine Appeal. The committee at all times have had regard for the Public Benefft Guidance as issued by the Charity Commission{Nll in all decisions where the guldance was relevanL The Cornmittee again made the decision to d￿ate a large portion of their income in 2022 to the Masonic Benevolent Fund because of the demands placed upon the fund as a direct result of the pandemic

The charltys beneflciarles are primarily. but not exdusNely the wldows and families of deceased Freemasons and dlstre55ed Freemasons and their families living wlthln or beyond the area falling under the Jurlsdlrtlon of the Grand Lodge of Ireland using the rules and reÉtslations of the governing bodles of the Victoria Jubilee Masonlc Benevolent Fund, The Masonlc Welfare Fund and the Tyrone and Fermanagh Provlnaal Local Ber￿lent Fund. Purpose Three: The dlrect beneffts whlch flow from thls purpose Indude (l) a better understandlng of medlcal condltlons and dlseases and Improved treatments. (2) Alleviating the dlstress belng suffered by a thild who through Illness or Injury has been brought to a hospital emergency department. When the chlld ts less dlstres5ed the parent or guardlan benefits. the staff in turn benefft by belng able to treat the chlld more easily ar#d more quickly whlch then means that other patlents benefit by not having to wait as long as they might have.
