STANTON HEALTHCARE BELFAST TRUSTEES, REPORT Year Ended 31 March 2023 Trustees, Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 March 2023 The Trustees present the Annual Report and Statement of Receipts and Payments and Assets and Liabilities for Stanton Healthcare Belfast for the year ended 31 March 2023. Structure, Governance and Management Governing Document and Constitutson of the Charity The charity is govemed by its Constitution adopted on 26 October 2016. Recruitment and Appointment The Executive Committee have the right to approve applications for membership and for good and sufficient reason, to terminate the membership of any member provided that the member concerned shall have the right to be heard by the Executive Committee before a final decision is made. Trustees The Trustees who served Stanton Healthcare Belfast during the year are detailed on page 1. Objectives and Activities The objectives of the charity are" The advancement of education of young people, without distinction of marital status, gender, sexual orientation, disability. race, political, religious or other opinion, within Northern Ireland in: Matters of sexual health, responsibility in regard to sexual behaviour and inter- personal relationships, and. The humanity and intrinsic and inalienable value and dignity of the unborn child which ground his or her right to life. b) The advancement of the health of young people and women of any age facing a 'crisis pregnancy, by providing advice, counselling, guidan and support at no cost with regard to the subject of pregnancy and the health of the unborn child, with the object of promoting their physical, emotional and mental well-being and contributing to their development as individuals and members of society. In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries. Recruit, train and employ volunteers with relevant skills- Employ staff., Raise funds and invite or receive contributions from any person or persons whatsoever by way of subscription. donation or Otheise., Establish and support any charitable association or body to subscribe or guarantee money for the charitable objects of the Association" and Do all such other lawful things as may be necessary to the attainment of the above objects. d) g) h) i) k) Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year'.- We welcomed Bernadette Smyth as Centre Manager in April 2022. She is an asset to Stanton with all her experience and ideas for the future. We are committed to providing our services free of charge. despite increased running costs. Some of our clients needed prams, cots and cribs, milk, nappies etc. which we were able to supply from our stock. All our supplies come from donations of money and goods provided by other charities and our generous members. Our links remain strong with the following people: A Charity Shop in Newtownards, who can be contacted if we need specific items e.g.. next-to- me beds, Moses baskets and Cots. Christchurch Congregational Church brought donations of nappies, baby clothes and knitted garments. Rathcoole Presbyterian Church visits us regularly. always bringing donations of baby items. They kindly donated cots and a pram this year. St. Patrick's Church in Lisburn who donated prams. Belfast Central Mission provides Christmas Gifts for children of our Wellbeing clients. A list is sent to them of the sex and ages of each child requiring a gift to ensure that they are included before the cut-off date.

Moses Baskets etc. Her supplies are open to any Charity that helps Mums and Babies. We regularly receive boxes of knitted goods: blankets, cardigans. hats and mittens. These ftems are greatly appreciated by our mothers for their newbom babies. We thank the members and friends of Stanton who put their time and money into these items, Some mothers need supplies in preparation for their deliveries. Each mother rec8iV8s a Mother and Baby Pack before they go into hospital. These consist of: Mothees Pack - Exfoliators, PJS, Toothbrush and Toothpaste, Shampoo & Condilioner. Deodorant, Moisturiser. Lip salve, Massage oil. Water and Snacks, Sanitary towels, Breast Pads and Shower gel. Baby's Pack - Blankets or Sleepsuits, Babygro's, Wpes, Nappies, Hats and gloves and Muslin cloths. To make these items extra special we box them and wrap them in celk)phane with ribbons as a gift from us to them. Flnanclal Revlow The results forthe period are Set out in detail on pages 7 to 9. The charity relumed net receipts of £12,109 (2022 -£9.192). At 31 March 2023, the chaiity had a surplus of £46,818 (2022- £34,709) in unrestiicted funds after accounting for unpaid liabilities. The charity is not currently operating a reserves polcy,. monelary funds are directly applied to the objectives and activities of the Association. A reserve policy will be in place in the future. This will be reviewed bi-annually. Golng Concorn The Trustees of Slanton Heatthcare Belfast believe the success of the objectives of the Charity and ongoing furKlraising throughout the year will add greatly to income. The Charity is In a period of high demand and is helping our dienls in more diverse situalions. The future provision of our services is uncertain. bul the Trustees are confident in the continuation of the Charity over the next financial year.
