Aprll 2016 to 31" March 2017 I"January 2022 to 31" December 2022 A summary of the Charlvs maln actlvltles to further Its purposes for the publlc beneflt and the maln achlevements In the year Durlng 2022, the brownies and guide5 continued to meet as a joint unit, as we start to build agaln post-covid. Although numbers remaln small, they are constant, with good attendance throughout the year. A variety of activ5ties were undertaken: Badges completed were: 'Feathers and Flamingos,, whlch included taklng part In the RSPB Great Garden Blrd Watch, and a vlslt from 'Wee Critters, where the girls met snakes, owls and armadlllos, to name a few Chopsticks and Courage,, based on the Chinese New Year of the Tlger, Queen's Platinum Jubilee Badge,, wlth craft, hlstory and a tea party; and 'Past, Present and Future,, whlch had a number of challenges celebrating 100 years of Glrl8uidln8 in Ulster. We dld actlvities teachlng the girls about thelr Promlse and Law, and had a speclal Promise Ceremony, wlth a visit from the Ulster Commissloner, Mrs Debbie McDowell. On Thinklng Day, when we remember our sister guides in other units, we made thinking day cards, and sent them to brownle and guide unlts In Scotland, Wales and England. We received ones in return, and had an evenin8 finding the places on a map and postin8 them on our notice board. In the communlty, we vlslted our Councll building at Mossley Mill, and were glven a tour by the Mayor. We shopped at Tesco for items for our local foodbank. And part of the proceeds of our Chrlstmas Sale were given to Air Ambulance Nl. We enjoyed the out of doors with a weekend at Lorne, and did an actlvlty on the Climblng Tower there. The glrls contlnue to enjoy baking and craft actlvlties. We planted violas in pots for Mothers Day; had a Scottish evening celebrating St Andrews Day; played captainball and other games; and had a Christmas Jumper fun evening to flnish the year. In all these activlties, there was no harm flowing from the charitvs purposes, and there was no prlvate benefit.
