The Parish has given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities entered into during the year and those planned for the future have and will continue to help and achieve the Parish's objectives and provide a public benefit. Financial Review Through the continued generosity of parishioners and others together with careful budgeting and wise stewardship of the finances, the day-to-day running costs and the expense of non-recurrent commitments arising during the year were covered while donations to charitable causes continued. Expenditure exceeded income in 2023 due to the ambitious and costly programme of works on the church, s stained glass windows, which commenced in the summer of 2022 and completed in May 2023. Thanks to a most generous bequest from a former parishioner in 2021 we have been able to cover the cost of this work in full, together with necessary work on the exterior stonework.
