The Fund was e$lablished in 2015 to provide Bursaries for pupils from the Boys. Model moving to third level education and $0 this year 15 the 10th year of the Fund. During that lime, we have seen the Fund grow considerably and continue lo achieve ils objectlves. The Btrard of the Fund is responsible for ensuring that the Fund continues lo exercise 118 full range of regulatory responsibilitie$ and we believe that. lo the be51 of our knowled9e, we compiled wth all such requiremen15 in 2024.2025. The Fund does not however have any staff and so il is the responsibility of the Officers lo carry out the roles which staff might otherwise undgrtake, In that centext the Board would want lo place on record the excellent contribuliony ol Mark Gilmore 88 Vice Chair, Bryan Kealing as Company Secretary and Iliam INilson as Treasurer. In addltion, Roy Adair, h8vin9 stepped down as Treasurer, ensured th81 th• tl8n3ition to the new Treasurer was as efficlenl a8 possible. During the yèar the Board, under the directlon of Mark Gllmore, al80 undertook 8 major review of how oparales and agreed lo move lo a position where the 8oard will continue lo have direct re8ponslbillly for kèy issues guch 89 slrglegiG direction. regulatory compliance. financial matters and Board membershlp, vthilsl an Operation5 Group. Chaired by Mark Gilmore, was formed lo undertake the day to day actions require(I for the effects've, èfficient and transparent oper8tion of the fund. Thi5 indude5 oversight of for fund raising aclivilies, marketing, event planning. data protection, social media and the preparatlon of a sutte of documents for Board decision andlor approval. The Board is mog19raleful lo Bryan Kealing who has given a very conslderable amount of lime to the preparation of important pollcy documents and his Honorary Secrètsry dulles. Dudng the year, the 8oard had 4 meeting8, Given that the purpose of the Fund is to provide Bursaries, the Board would want lo report that In the year8 Irom establishment up lo 30 April 2025. 47 boys recelved Bursaries totalling some £98,000. Slnce the Fund was eslablish8d, we have been greatly encouraged by ￿ things. The first 1$ the impact which the Bursaries have had on the boy5 who have been suc¢e88ful. The ￿￿001 18 in regular contact with the boys and il is so encouraging to hear from them about the help which the bur9aries have been in in Ihelr education joumey. To dale, every boy who has been awarded and accepted burs8ry has gone on to complete h15 third levol qualification. The Fund is a150 working with the school to help maintain a data base of all the Bursary reclpienls. The second encouragement 1$ the continuing support of the donors lo the Funit, both those who glve regular monthly financial contributions and those who give one-off donations. The Fund continues lo consider how to extend both means of donation, but also want to record our sincere thanks to all our donors.

Under Mary Montgomery'8 excellent leadership, the school goes from strength to strength, and the Fund is very pleased lo play some part in supporting the staff and the boys and in ensurin9 that the boys from the school can fulfil their potential through third level education. We are proud to be associated with the gchool and lo be able lo support all that il does foir ils pupils. The Boaid is also exploring how and In what ways the Fund might fvrther support the school. This Work Is ntinuing and will require further detailed thought and planning, as well as legal and regulatory considerations and the ch8rth.es Commission approval. We are pleased to report that as of the 30th of Aprtl 2025, the Unreslricl8d Funds were £100,176 12024.. £96,465) an increase from the posllion as Of the 30th of April 2024, having accounted for bursaries and expenges. The Board annually reviews 115 re8erves and considers them lo be fi'nancially prudent. In keeping wllh our fiduclary responsibilllies, the Directors re-invested port of the reserves in higher interest rale account. The Directors continue to believe that the slate of the funds 18 sufflcienl al present. glven the increa$e8 in thè number of awards and also the Board's declared position of Seeking lo have sufficient funds lo achleve an endowment position, We wll continue lo revise and implement our financial strategy. The school ensured that every pupil eligible for 8 bursary wo$ aware of the crilerla from the beglnnlng of the school year. Following examination ￿6￿1t$ in August each year, Ihree bursarles are awarded to the three pupils who best met the criteria outlined above. Each bursary in total amounts 10 £3,600 and is paid over a perbod of three years dependent upon continuing academic attendance in further education by the pupils concèmed. In addition, each year the Board considers the awar(J of one-off awards on an ad-hoc basis.
