H O U S E A CENTRE OF CHRISTIAN WITNESS Charity Registration Number: NIC103862 Charity Name: Randalstown Meeting House Annual General Meeting Minutes th 28 September 2023 Opening The regular meeting of the Randalstown Meeting House was called to order at 8pm on 28 September 2023 in The Upper Room, The Meeting House. Present th Trustees Mr Aaron Bates Mr Derek Young Mr Oral Leith Absent Mrjohn Laughlin Elders Mr Geor8e Bates Absent Mr Sinclair Magee Deacons Thomas Morris Absent Mr Stephen Bates Absent Mr Robert Mitchell Chairperson Mr Aaron Bates Oral Opened the meeting in prayer. Aaron read out the minutes from last yearfs meeting. Covid precautions are relaxed, the seats are still more spaced out however for the convenience of the congregation. Hand saniti5er is still available upon entry for the convenience of those wishing to use it and some signage and health and safety reminders are still in place. Meetings have resumed to normal times again with both AM Breaking of Bread and PM Gospel meetings as well as Wednesday night Bible study and Friday night Prayer meetings all running again. The P A system and recording equipment has now been updated by Absolute Technologies with 2 new headsets, 2 new microphones and stands and a new junction box with a tablet for ease of use. We now have the ability to copy meetings onto USB sticks as a more cost*ffective method however CDS are still available. Derek has agreed to enquire about prices for a different type of headset that they feel could be more user friendly. The Monday night football outreach is no longer running at present due to low numbers, however we will continue to monitor interest. All P.A.T testing will all be completed mid-october. All Fire Extinguishers will have their annual maintenance checks before the end of ottober. There have been no leaks in the Church building since all the maintenance work was conducted and Lennox Scott maintain all building and fencing work annually. We have requested to have the drains checked and cleared for the winter. th The 2022 Financial report was given out to the fellowship on Sunday 24 September 2023. Unfortunately, the Fellowship Christmas Dinner will not be possible this year again. All safeguarding policies and procedures have been updated and in place and we are still awaiting dates for our designated safeguarding officers to do their refresher training, this will be done as soon as possible. Sunday school invitations have been distributed throughout the local area but numbers are still low so we are goin8 to reach out to Colin Tinsley to see if we can arrange a children's mission in Spring/Summer 2024. Thomas will contact Colin and talk over possible dates and pricing for this. Oral suggested the Church take out a regular advertisement in the local Guardian newspaper detailing the speakers and singers for the upcoming week to try and increase numbers attending the meetings. Oral and Derek will obtain prices and have agreed to implement this. Louise Morris is currently volunteering with The Prison Fellowship Nl helplng to deliver a faith based Restorative Justice programme to Prisoners and is knowing the Lords help in this work. We hope to get the Creche up and runnlng again and will seek to ask for volunteer5 to help facilitate this. th Next yearfs AGM will take place on Thursday 10 October 2024.
