Posters re a Halloween Fancy tJres$ & Disco were distributed QKI displayed in local primary schools tsnd public outlets. The event was well attended with the children {and some parents} wearing a variety of costumes. many of which were made with household materials. Due to the lengthy process of acquiring the license for the erection of festive street lights, the sequence of steps had been initiated before the AGM and was suc¢essf ully completed prior to the December '$witth on.. The siting of the Christmas tree in the Community 6arden proved popular and the participation of the two local school choirs and the use of the snow machine contributed to the festive atmo$ph¢re. The distribution of treats (fftd glow-sticks and a performance by the Friendship Bond was appreciated by the large crowd. Once agoin. the committee liaised with tht O'shea family to incorporate the Santa Grotto as part of the annual Christmas Fayre to raise funds for Marie Curie. in memory of their deceased family member, Marie-ann.
