Public Benefit statsment In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given careful consideration lo the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure activities have helped to achieve the charily's purpose and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries. InVOLve (Nl) is solely run by volunleers who ensure InVOLve meel their objeclives. InVOLve (Nl) has three venues which calers for the local community and facilitales Mid Ulsler Volunteer Centre and The Base. InVOLve (Nll was set up to meet the needs of the community crealing a shared space for those living with a disability andlor disadvantage. InVOLve {Nl) enables community integration in a shared space for people from all backgrounds and COTnmunities regardless of age. disability, gender, sexual orientation. religion. race or where they live. Achievements and Perforniance This annual report will give an overview of Ihe work of InVOLve (Nl) during 2022 - 2023. InVOLve (Nll believe Ihal they are meeting their objectives. InVOLve {Nll have 3 premises in Antrim. Cookstown and in particular InVOLve House. Magherafelt. Involve House is a comfflunty building. open to the public which is used for a number of purposes such as training, workshops and meeting rooms etc. It is solely run by volunteers who wotl( tirelessly to ensure thal InVOLve House caters for everyone's needs. Groups use the facilities for training, workshops and meelings, etc. The number of groups using the building has improved but is not back fully to where it was pre-pandemic. Our premises are open 5 days per week. including weekends when required lo accommodale those groups and organisations who are using the building. We still carry oul risk assessments as we are very conscious that some of the most vulnerable attend activities al our premises to ensure maximum safety for volunleers and other users of the building. These procedures have remained in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing for all those who avail of the building. Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre used the facilities when lockdown eased for their Carefully Yours Project for over 55s. Carefully Yours had reduced activities and reduced numbers due to social distancing.
INVOLVE (NI) IA Company limited by guarantee, not having a share capltall TRUSTEES, ANNUAL REPORT for the year ended 31 March 2023 InVOLve {Nl} continue OLJr partnership with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust {NHSCT) with The Base in Antrim. where adults with a leaming disability can meel and make friends in their own community and avail of structured activities. Generally, people attend a Base as part of a package of community-based day seNices on the days when Ihey are not at college, volunteering, in a social enterprise or in supported employment. InVOLve (Nl) conlinues to seek funding to offer The Base service users training which will enhance their personal development and overall wellbeing. As part of our SeNice Level Agreement with the NHSCT we received a one-off non recurrent investment of £5.000 which we used for activities lo promole Ihe health and wellbeing of the Servi users in line with the 5 steps to wellbeing. This investment enabled us to hold activities such as music workshops. training in personal development and a visual arts project, etc. We were delighted to feceive a one off non-recurring payment from the NHSCT in recognition of the financial pressures being faced by the Community and Voluntary Seclor. We were delighted to receive the Community Venues Granl from Mid Ulster Distticl Council, which helped with the ever increasing running costs of InVOLve House, in addition to this we received one off conlribulion to mitigate some of the rising cost of living pressures. Financtal Review In 2022123 total incoming resources were £82,729 (202112022-. £73.359> During the year the charity wa5 fortunate enough to receive support from a number of sources including the Northern Health and Social Care Trusl, Mid Ulster Council. Total expenditure for 2022123 was £85.704 (2021122: £71.751) The charity was in a reasonably healthy financial position at the year-end, with current assets of £41,214 The trustees confimi that since the year-end. it is not aware of any events thdi would have a matetsal delfimentsl impact on its position. Reserves policy The trustees of Involve (Nl) have set a reseNes policy which requires.. The charity to mainlain a level of reserves which meets the needs of the project both at the current time and in Ihe foreseeable future. The level of reserves held are based on the need to fund unexpected expenditure and to ensure that it can fund any shortfalls in income. should income nol reach expected levels. The Board ol Direclors will be responsible for monitoring the level of reselves on a monlhly basis. This policy will be reviewed every three years in line with Ihe strategic planning cycle.

Statement of compliance These financial stalements have been prepared in compliance with FRS 102, "The Financial Reporting standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland" The statement of Recommended Practice applicable in charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and repub5ic of Ireland (FRS102)(Charities SORP(FRS102)) and the Charities Act (Northefn Ireland) 2008. Basis of preparation The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cosl convention and in accordan with the Companies Act 2006 and Part 8 of the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2008. The financial slatements are prepared in sterling, which is Ihe functional currency of the entity. The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with items which are considered malerial in relation to the charitable company's financial statements. Cash flow statement The charitable company has availed of the exemption in FRS 102 from the requirement to Produ a cash flow statement because it is classified as a small charitable company. Restricted funds Restricted funds are subjected to rest, Ictions on their expenditure imposed by the donor or through the terms of an appeal. Unrestricted free reserves Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the Management CommÈttee in furtherance of the general objectives of Ihe company. Going Concern The charity maintains a good level of liquidity. Having considered the circumstances, the trustees consider tt appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going conrn basis. Accordingly. these financial statements do nol include any adjustments to the carrying amounts and classification of assets and liabilities that may arise if the chartlable company is unable to continue as a going concern. Incoming Resources Voluntary income or capital is included in the Slatement of Financial ActÈvities when Ihe charitable company is legally entitled to it. its financidl value can be quantified with reasonable certainty and there is reasonable certainty of its ultimate receipt. Enlitlement to legacie5 is considered established when the charitable company has been notified of a distribution to be made by the execulors. Income received in advan of due performance under a contract is accounted for as deferred income until eamed.
