General Comments
-
Membership remained steady with increased number of new learners in 2023, particularly in the drumming aspect;

Expenditure on instruments & uniforms during 2023 was significantly lower compared to previous years; and
-
Continued to seek grants to ensure continuing growth and development of the band so that it can continue to provide a public benefit.

Charitable Status & Pubic Benefits
The public benefits continue to be the following and are achieved by the various activities outlined above.
THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ARTS, CULTURE, HERITAGE OR SCIENCE
- BY PROMOTING INTEREST IN THE HISTORY, CULTURE AND MUSICAL HERITAGE OF PIPE BAND TRADITIONS WITHIN DRUMLOUGH, ITS SURROUNDING TOWNLANDS, NORTHERN IRELAND AND BEYOND.
THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION
- TO EDUCATE AND ENCOURAGE PERSONS OF ALL AGES, SEXES AND ABILITIES TO DEVELOP THEIR INSTRUMENTAL SKILLS AND TALENTS THROUGH TUITION IN THE INSTRUMENTS AND IN THE RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES.
