- Schomberg Society - 11th July Pageant Parade (Kilkeel); 

- Annual Twelfth July Celebrations (Loughbrickland); 

- DBRDA – Community Festival; 

- Christmas Clay Pigeon Shoot; 

- Weekly Band Practice; and 

- Piping and Drumming Tuition (Ulster-Scots Agency funded). 

## **Financial Summary** 

- Income for 2023 = £6,564.63[1] ; 

- Expenditure for 2023 = £4,608.68; 

- Net income for 2023 = £1,955.95[1] ; 

- £274.45 spent on uniform & instruments/accessories during 2023; and 

- Balance at end of 2023 = £20,572.26[2] . 

## **General Comments** 

- Membership remained steady with increased number of new learners in 2023, particularly in the drumming aspect; 

- Expenditure on instruments & uniforms during 2023 was significantly lower compared to previous years; and 

- Continued to seek grants to ensure continuing growth and development of the band so that it can continue to provide a public benefit.

The public benefits continue to be the following and are achieved by the various activities outlined above.

- BY PROMOTING INTEREST IN THE HISTORY, CULTURE AND MUSICAL HERITAGE OF PIPE BAND TRADITIONS WITHIN DRUMLOUGH, ITS SURROUNDING TOWNLANDS, NORTHERN IRELAND AND BEYOND. 

## **THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION** 

- TO EDUCATE AND ENCOURAGE PERSONS OF ALL AGES, SEXES AND ABILITIES TO DEVELOP THEIR INSTRUMENTAL SKILLS AND TALENTS THROUGH TUITION IN THE INSTRUMENTS AND IN THE RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES.
