Activities
The Charity’s objects (“Objects”) are to:- (1) To promote community development and urban regeneration in Donegall Pass and South Belfast in general (the “area of benefit”) by all or any of the following means: (a) design, promote, implement and evaluate strategies and develop and carry through programmes and action plans concerned with improving the economic, social, health, well-being and safety, and environmental life of the inhabitants of the area of benefit; (b) promote study and research, set priorities and develop and influence policy and practice in the fields of urban regeneration community development, health and well-being, environmental improvement and social enterprise development; (c) provide a forum for the discussion and debate of urban regeneration, community development and related issues and raise public awareness of these matters; (d) provide strategic and practical support to community and voluntary groups in the area of benefit. (2) Promote good community relations, religious and racial harmony, social cohesion, equality and diversity and social justice by encouraging participation in a range of inclusive and accessible programmes which strive to bring together all sections of the community;. (3) Advance education, training, community capacity building and assist those who are unemployed. (4) Promote arts and multi-cultural activities and events to increase understanding between people from different cultural backgrounds. (4) Promote and support social enterprise and sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration. (5) The relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. POWERS
