The charity's purposes are detsiled within the constitution and can be summaries as. l. To relieve in cases of need, hardship or distress, freemasons and the widows and other dependents of deceased freemasons. 2. To provide financial assistance to other duly constituted Masonic Charities. 3. To provide financial assistance to any person or body for any "charitable purpose" The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.

Donations were made to nine other rnasonic charities, allowing them to continue their own charitable activities, providing assistance to freemasons and their families in neel as well as supporting other charities in their communities. 2. The following donations were made to support the charitable activities conductrd by these bodies; Northern Ireland Children's Hospice Limavady Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide Northern Ireland Hospice Royal Victoria Hospital - Neurolo8y Unit The Donegal Hospice Irish Red Cross - Cresslough Appea] £940 £1,000 £2,500 £1,040 1,200 250 In addition, £10,11 S was donated to the Grand M&ster's Festival, Vision 2020, to support the activities of the followin8 charities: the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Medecins Sans Frontier, Simon Communities of Ireland and the Simon Community Northern Ireland. The results of the charity's activities durtng the year and of its position at the year end are included in the Receipts and payments account on page 5 and the Stament of assets and liabiliti¢s on pa8e 6. The trustees are thankful for the support of the brethren forming the membership of the charity and their guests, through their continued generous donations which are used to further the charity's purposes, which have been detailed above.
