Provincial Grand Lodge of Londonderry & Donegal Council of Charity & Welfare is governed
by a constitution dated 14th December 201 I, accepted as a charity by HM Revenue & Customs
under reference number XR80515 and registered with the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland on 6th January 2016 under charity number NIC102438.
The charity's purposes are detsiled within the constitution and can be summaries as.
l. To relieve in cases of need, hardship or distress, freemasons and the widows and
other dependents of deceased freemasons.
2. To provide financial assistance to other duly constituted Masonic Charities.
3. To provide financial assistance to any person or body for any "charitable purpose"
The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission
for Northern Ireland.

During the year ended 31 It December 2022 the charity conductrd the following activities in
furtherance of its activities for the public benefit.
l. Donations were made to nine other rnasonic charities, allowing them to continue their
own charitable activities, providing assistance to freemasons and their families in
neel as well as supporting other charities in their communities.
2. The following donations were made to support the charitable activities conductrd by
these bodies;
Northern Ireland Children's Hospice
Limavady Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide
Northern Ireland Hospice
Royal Victoria Hospital - Neurolo8y Unit
The Donegal Hospice
Irish Red Cross - Cresslough Appea]

In addition, £10,11 S was donated to the Grand M&ster's Festival, Vision 2020, to support the
activities of the followin8 charities: the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Medecins Sans
Frontier, Simon Communities of Ireland and the Simon Community Northern Ireland.
The results of the charity's activities durtng the year and of its position at the year end are
included in the Receipts and payments account on page 5 and the Sta*ment of assets and
liabiliti¢s on pa8e 6. The trustees are thankful for the support of the brethren forming the
membership of the charity and their guests, through their continued generous donations which
are used to further the charity's purposes, which have been detailed above.
