1. Hon. Secretary’s report for 2023/ 2024
Two meetings were held during the year, one on 12 September 2023 and a second on 8 March 2024.
At the AGM in September, the following members were elected Office Bearers

Secretary: Mr N. Handforth
Treasurer: Mr G. Beck
The Treasurer, Mr. Beck, reported that the Charity’s income was similar to the previous year. The Report was adopted
3. Ulster Bank
At the March meeting, Gavin reported that the City Branch of the Ulster Bank in Londonderry had closed and the Institute’s two accounts had been transferred to the Waterside Branch
He noted that returned cheques had incurred a penalty of £84 and two groups had been compensated £12 each for costs charged by their banks.
4. Applications 2024.
Advertising posters were place around the town at the end of January highlighting the 2024 disbursement and a number of groups were emailed about potential applications. At the March meeting, Mr Handforth, the Secretary reported that twenty eight applications, most by email, had been received. All groups met the criteria, the chair concurred. It was agreed that £3000 would be disbursed to the successful applicants with the Music Festival receiving £300 and the other groups £100.
Grants were distributed in the Presbyterian Church Hall on 9 April 2024 at 7.00pm.
Receipts for all cheques were received at the disbursement, by email return or in one case by a follow up meeting
