We work cLoselywlth sociaL services, health visitors. community nurses, teachers and the citizens advice bureau to heLp those most in need. The Storehouse gather and distribute food stuffs. heatingfuel, general household goods end items of personal hygiene. In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission Nl's guidance on public benefit to ensure thatthe activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefitto the beneficiaries. During the year we were able to provide food, food vouchers and other essentials to the most vulnerabLe in the community. The chairperson and trustees of Whitehead Storehouse woud like to thankthose who kindly donate to the work of the charity and forthose who give up theirtime to help this very rewarding and worthwhile work. Respectiv8 responsibllities of Trustees and Examin8r As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance wlth the Charities Act (Nl) 2008. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act to followthe procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basis of Independent Examiner's statement I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and an examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission Nl under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
