We continue to pIomote and develop volunteerillg, repi&8enting the Centre oll Community PlaDning. Neighbourhood RenewaL partnerships, on the Management Conmnittees of registered collty groups. The Centre registered 225 new volunteers and hosted an appre£Aation lunch event for 40 volunteers as part of Volunteers Week in June 2022, with 150 appwiation boxes and 200 certificaks coordinated to support gtOUPS WAth their own recognition activities. Six 'Turn up and Try. volunteering events were organised with ongoing tailored 8UPPOrt with good practicq training infornjation and guidance delivered to 89 regISted voluutary and community groups. Building upon the 8ucce8sfui delivery of the B-Friend Hub befriending project for older people across Omagh. Fennanagh and Straban4 OVC made another successfijl application to the National IAyttery Community Fund. for a new follow up project and in August 2022. were awarded £455,851.76 for the "Beyond the Call" project to provide telephone. home and peer group befriending activities for 300 older people. supported by a team of 60 trained volunteer, for a further 3 year period. Th¢ Centre conttnues to receive core fimding from the Departtnent for Commw)ities (Dfc) for the de]ivcry of the Volunteering Infrastructure Support Piogramrne (VISP) as well as the National Lottery Community Fund foi the Beyond the call project. Additional funding was provided by DFC for Volunte8 week rw)gDition activities and from the Hallifax Foundation to deliver certified and aCedAted training. Plans for future perlods Future plans for the Charity include: Increasing the number and diversity of people who register to volunteer. Continued engagement and collaboration with the Jndependent Volunteer Centres (Volunteei Centres NI), including the Dormant account application.
