Main achievements We gave support of £IOOO to the local Community Walking Club. £500 towards the local Chamber of Commerce Christmas lights appeal, £400 10 the Fivemiletown Meihodisi Friendship Club and £200 to Ballybovce Community Choir. Public Benefit To advance educaiion - the direct benefits which flow from this purpose are increased access to infonnation, increased confidence and self-esteem, increased ability lo access employment opportunities. Future developments It is intended that Fivemiletown Community Development Association will continue in the long term and will provide charitable Services to the local community. Statement of trustees, responsibilities Charity law requires the trusiees lo prepare financial staiements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the slate of affairs of the charity at ihe Jear end and of its incoming resources and resources expended during that year. In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to- select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistenily- make judg¢m¢nts and estimates that are reasonable and prudent: state whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed subject to any departures disclosed and explained in the financial slatements. and prepare the financial statemenls on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business. The trustees are responsible for ke¢ping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time Ihe financial position of the charity and enable ihem io ensure that ihe financial statements comply with the recogjlised accounting siandard.
