Principal Activities
The objective of Fivemiletown Community Development Association is to provide charitable services to the local
community.

charities preparing their accounts in accordance wilh ihe Financial Reporting Siandard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January 2021).
Main achievements
We gave support of £IOOO to the local Community Walking Club. £500 towards the local Chamber of Commerce
Christmas lights appeal, £400 10 the Fivemiletown Meihodisi Friendship Club and £200 to Ballybovce Community
Choir.
Public Benefit
To advance educaiion - the direct benefits which flow from this purpose are increased access to infonnation, increased
confidence and self-esteem, increased ability lo access employment opportunities.
The benefits are evidenced ihrough feedback and evaluaiion from ihe group and local comrnunity. There is no harm
aniicipaied from this purpose. The charity's beneficiaries are people living in the rural area of Fivemiletown. A private
benefit may arise from trustees accessing our ongoing programme of aciivities in the community. These benefits are
incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
To promote the preservaiion and protection of health among people of all ages in Fivemiletown and its environs in County
Tyrone without dislinciion of aoe. gender, sexuality. nationality, eihnic origin. political or religious opinion. The direct
benefits which flow from this purpose are the provision of a neutral venue for local people io meei and socialise, increased
access to inforn)ation. increased confidence and self-esteem.
The benefits are evidenced ihrough feedback and evaluation from the group and local community. There is no harm
anticipated from this purpose.
To provide facilities in the tnieresis of social welfare for recreational activitÈes designed to promote health and fitn¢ss or
other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants the direct
benefits which flow from this purpose are the provision of a neutral venue for local people io meet and socialise in an
isolated border area, increased access to infonnation, increased confidence and self-esleem. and, increased cross-
community interaciion. The benefits are evidenced through feedback and evaluation from the group and local community.
There is no harni anticipated from this purpose.

Results
The results for the year are set out in ihe attached accounts. There is a Defecit for ihe year of (£605)
?022- Surplus of £3732.
Future developments
It is intended that Fivemiletown Community Development Association will continue in the long term and will provide
charitable Services to the local community.
Statement of trustees, responsibilities
Charity law requires the trusiees lo prepare financial staiements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of
the slate of affairs of the charity at ihe Jear end and of its incoming resources and resources expended during that year. In
preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to-
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistenily-
make judg¢m¢nts and estimates that are reasonable and prudent:
state whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed subject to any
departures disclosed and explained in the financial slatements. and
prepare the financial statemenls on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will
continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for ke¢ping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time
Ihe financial position of the charity and enable ihem io ensure that ihe financial statements comply with the recogjlised
accounting siandard. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for iaking reasonable
steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irreoularilies.
