Activities

The Charity’s purposes are to:- (1) Promote for the public benefit amateur sport, education, healthy recreation and, in the interests of social welfare, other leisure-time occupations for individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, disablement, or social and economic circumstances, or for the public at large, in Newry and its environs (the “area of benefit”) by: (i) managing facilities and amenities at St Joseph’s Boys’ High School, Newry; and (ii) promoting, organising and delivering sports, education and training and leisure activities, programmes, events and initiatives. (2) Advance community development in the area of benefit by engaging with and assisting sports and other voluntary and community groups and organisations to organise, deliver and participate in activities, events and initiatives. (3) Promote social inclusivity, good community relations, social cohesion, racial and religious harmony and equality and diversity.
