Activities carried out by the group can take place in the school grounds with the agreement of the management of the school. policies and procedures adopted for the induction and training of trustees., the charity's organisational structure and any wider network with which the charity works; relationship with any related parties., trustees, consideration of major risks and the system and procedures to manage them. Section C Ob"ectives and activities The main aims of the association can be summarised as follows: To relieve poverty, sickness and the aged and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Glencull and district area of Co Tyrone and its environs without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion. By associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, for recreation or other leisure- time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To establish or to secure the establishment of Community projects and to maintain them and to manage to cooperate with any local statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such projects for activities promoted by the Association and its constituent bodies in furtheran of the above objects. The advancement of the educational, moral, mental, social and cultural wellbeing of the students of Glencull Primary School, St. Malachy's and other children of the area without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion. They have bettered the lives of the community at Glencull. They have spent numerous hours planning and carrying out activates that benefit the whole community. The committee have subgroups continually working on projects based in and around the grounds of the school. The activities held during the year would not have been possible without the help of our volunteers and grant applications for various projects could not have been successfully completed if it weren't for the work of the subcommittees. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year In October 2022 the association held its it's first event since the pandemic. A meeting was held in October 2022 and it was agreed that we would host a Halloween movie night for the children and parents of the school. This was to be help at Todds leap and they would also allow the children access to their spooky trail. The event will be free for the children as they have missed out on such events for the last few years. Parents will volunteer to organise and run this event and provide refreshments. As the school building work is still under way no other events will be planned for this year. It was also discussed at this meeting the possibility of the Friend of Glencull funding the building of a new 3G pitch and associated works for the benefit of the school. All present at this meeting agreed this would be great project and work started on getting this project off the ground. This involved researching grants, contact contractors and contacting the local businesses to see how they could help including the use of the land. The pitch us primarily for the school children but the hope is that the local community will be able to use this facility also as there is nothing like this in the local area. The projected competition date for this project is April 2023 Section E Financial review The association hold £6,963.30 in the bank account, all of which is unrestricted funds. None of this is placed on reserve as the association have no commitment in relation to expenditure. All monies should be used for the benefit of the local community.
