Our Vision At Kids Inn our vision 15 to provide high quality play care for children that will differentiate us and enable us to become the childcare provider of choice for families in the local communities. Values At Kids Inn we believe that play is a natural, healthy activity and that providing good quality play opportunities means ensuring choice, equality of opportunity, recognising children's abilities, respecting children's needs and wishe5 and allowing children space, time and understanding for plav. Kids Inn is primarily an After-school club setting and is a registered charity. At Kids Inn we provide put of school care for children aged 4-12 years old. This enables parents in the local communities to be able to work, train or return to further education in the knowledge their children are bein8 cared for in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Kids Inn has been in operation since January 2001, at present we cater for 30 children at any one time. The club is open from 2pm until 6pm every day during term time and operates from 8am to 6pm during school closures. The club offers a full-time summer scheme over the summer months. At Kid5 Inn we offer the children a varied programme of activities which are planned around their development, interests and ideas. These activitie5 include arts and crafts, cookery, games, opportunity for outdoor physical and challenging play etc. Kids Inn is registered with the Western Health and Social Care Trust and is inspected annually.

We achieve this by having weekly Kids Inn discussion meetings, to gather ideas and personal interests from the children. We then draw up our programmes around these interests. The play workers set up optional daily activities for the children to participate in The playworkers aim to extend the chiSdren's play opportunities by providing them with resources required to build on and f urther their ideas The play workers will give the children their own space to develop ideas in play and will only intervene if the child requests for them to do so of for health and safety reasons We have boundaries and agreed rules within the group which are on display, the aim of this method is to promote positive behaviour. All play workers are made aware of the play values and principles at their induction and implement these within their practice daily. We also aim to provide training in order to support the play worker5 continued professional development, Addltlonal Needs At Kids Inn we recognise that children with disabilities and learnin8 disabilities have the right to services a nd facilities in such a way that they can achieve the fullest possible social integration a nd individual development. Kids Inn aims to provide access and support for children with individual needs and requirements. At kids, inn we will ma ke every effort to ensure that children with special needs are integrated with other children and adults. We will also ensure that there is a range of equipment and resources to support ind ivid ual learning and development. The role of The Early Years Team Kids Inn works closely with The Western Health and Social Care Early Years Team to ensure we provide the best possible environment and service to ensure the children are cared for in a safe, welcoming environment where they can flourish. Kids Inn is inspected annually by WHSCT and all records are available for pa rents to view.
