Activities

The Association is established for the public benefit, the relief of poverty for the inhabitants and in particular, women and children of the Brownlow Area of Co, Amagh and its wider environs (hereinafter described as the area of benefit) who are the affected by multiple deprivation and social isolation, sectarianism, crime, poor community infrastructure, low educational attainment, low aspiration, high levels of unemployment and reliance on benefits, ill health, social and family problems, providing them with confidential individual and family support services including practical support, good quality childcare and play opportunities, advice and guidance on matters of health, social welfare and legal rights and referral of those in need of specialist support to the relevant agencies; leading to improved family well-being, family support, adult and child development, improved financial capability, employability skills and better educational outcomes, social welfare and legal rights advice and guidance, personal empowerment, active citizenship and strengthened communities through the development of collaborative networks and partnerships with voluntary and statutory organisations. for the public benefit, the advancement of education for the inhabitants and in particular, women and children of the Brownlow Area of Co, Amagh and its wider environs (hereinafter described as the area of benefit) who are the affected by poverty and social exclusion through multiple deprivation including poor educational attainment, low aspirations, lack of employment opportunities and employability skills, providing them with, accredited qualifications and training, the development of volunteering opportunities and training, increased knowledge, experience and skills, self esteem and confidence, strengthening local communities and citizenship, leading to better educational outcomes, peer education, volunteering opportunities and increased capacity and contributing to enhanced employability. For the public benefit, the improvement of health for the public benefit, the advancement of education for the inhabitants and in particular, women and children of the Brownlow Area of Co, Amagh and its wider environs (hereinafter described as the area of benefit) who are the affected by poverty, deprivation and social isolation providing them with improved access to health services and support aimed at improving physical and mental health, leisure and recreational opportunities, including the provision of counselling, health screening, advocacy information, advice and guidance leading to better health education and increased awareness, lifestyle changes, lower levels of depression and anxiety, greater access to and uptake of health services, improved personal and family health and well-being, increased confidence and empowerment.
