The Company is established for the relief of people in North Belfast (hereinafter called "the area of benefit") who are in conditions of poverty, sickness and distress arising directly from bereavement/trauma through civil unrest, violence, sexual or physical abuse (hereinafter called "survivors of trauma"), to advance public education in matters relating to bereavement/trauma, to promote the preservation and protection of health and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for such people.
