Activities
The Objects of the Charity are: - to advance education, arts and culture and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Newtownabbey and its environs of Northern Ireland, without distinction to sex, race, religious or other opinion; and in particular 1) to provide education in the arts and digital media, including the art and science of music production, video, photography, multimedia and film; (2) to educate, mentor and inspire young people to develop their talents and enter into careers in the creative arts and digital media, through the provision of educational courses, events, workshops, mentoring, networking, and other support and educational, training and developmental opportunities (3) to promote social inclusion by bringing education in the creative arts and digital media to disadvantaged individuals, who would otherwise be unlikely to have the opportunity to develop their talents and pursue careers in these fields, and to bring an appreciation of the creative arts to new audiences; (4) to prepare young people for the challenges of the future economy by developing their practical and technical skills and competencies and by promoting their personal development, positive mental health and resilience; (5) to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for education, recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants, and; (2.2) ancillary to the foregoing, to further such other purposes which are exclusively charitable under the law of Northern Ireland as the Trustees in their absolute discretion may from time to time determine.
