Transition Town Omagh Charity No NIC 100301
Report on activities for the year ending 28 February 2023
The trustees had agreed to make a submission to the Arts Council to carry out activities in the rural areas with groups who may be subject to social isolation around Omagh. This had been successful and a grant of £ 8,824 was awarded.
Up until 28 February 2023, the only account in operation was the Omagh Credit Union account, which had been opened when the Nationwide BS no longer provide a service for voluntary groups.
The annual accounts were considered with the only income being a dividend of £1.24 from the Credit Union and a donation of £5 which was required to open the Credit Union account.
The balance in the account is £ 1121.05 as of 28 February 2023 there being zero expenditure. The Treasurer and the Secretary were the signators.
As the Arts Council did not consider that the account in the Omagh Credit Union was suitable for receiving and accounting for the grant paid, it was agreed to set up a new account with the Ulster Bank to administer the funds. These activities would inject new life into the group.
