Trustees’ Annual Report for the period

From 1[st] April 2021 To31[st] March 2022

Charity name: Hordle Community Association

Charity registration number: 900578

Objectives and Activities

The objectives of the HCA are to provide events and activities that benefit the community in the village.

Achievements and Performance

Following Covid restrictions the HCA concentrated on recommencing the activities that were put on hold, namely reinstating the weekly Saturday morning café, bingo nights and miscellaneous social events and a musical event held in the Park.

All events proved very popular with a very good attendance at all events from the locals and providing a good social platform for people to reconnect with each other.

Financial Review

The main source of funding comes from the public, whether it be events or hall hire, which, for this period, was difficult however grants from the New Forest District Council enabled us to meet our normal annual commitments.

During the review period the HCA were in the process of securing a lease on a Parish Council owned property with a view to extending its activities further. Funds accumulated over the lifetime of the Association would enable this to happen, whilst retaining a sufficient funding level to meet at least a full year’s costs.

Structure, Governance and Management

The HCA is an unincorporated body and is structured in accordance with its constitution. The trustees which form the committee, alongside representatives from affiliated organisations, meet monthly to discuss and plan forthcoming events and funding. All trustees are volunteers and receive no remuneration.
