2nd Chandlers Ford (Ramalley) Scout Group
The 2nd Chandlers Ford (Ramalley) Scout Group is committed to providing good Scouting to all the young people in the Group. It does this by providing a full, active, exciting yet safe programme in line with the The policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association.
The purpose of Scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
This year has seen the Group the members in all age ranges including Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have enjoyed several different different activities and had the opportunity to take part in new adventures and experiences. The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic reduced the activities that the group could undertake but were fortunate to receive a covid grant of £10,000 from the local council.
The group has continued to work at raising funds from events to help to have sufficient funds to rebuild the Scout headquarters building at Ramalley. Towards the end of 2020, the old building was demolished and preparations were made to begin on the new hall construction.
The reserve policy of the Group is that it maintains a reserve of between 70% & 100% of the average turn-over of the previous 5 years. Presently £6,363 (70%) and £9,090 (100%)
