The scheme is a defined benefit scheme ID the UK. It is not possible for the Company to obtain sutricient inforniation ro enable it to aeeount for the scheme as a defined benefit schem¢. Therefore, it accounts for the scheme as a defined contribution scheme. The scheme is subject to the (unding legislation outlined in the Pensions Act 2004 which came in¢0 force on 30 December 2005. This, together with document$ issued by the Pensions Regulator and Technical Actuarial Standards issued by the Finan¢ial Reporting Cowicil, set out the framework for funding defjned benefit occupational ￿nSIOn schemes in the Uk.
